Preparing the Cuttings
• Step 1: Select a healthy soft cutting and remove extra leaves.
• Step 2: Shorten the cutting using a sharp knife or scissors.
Potting and Root Hormone Application
• Use a pot with drainage holes and fill it with well-drained sand or garden soil.
• Apply root hormone powder to the cuttings to promote faster root growth. Alternatively, you can skip this, but it will take longer for roots to establish.
• Make a hole in the soil (using a pencil) and plant the cuttings to avoid removing the hormone from the base.
Planting Conditions
• Place the cuttings in indirect sunlight with bright light.
• Water regularly once a day, ensuring the sand doesn’t get too dry or too wet.
Progress after One Month
• After one month, the cuttings have developed lots of healthy roots.
• The host demonstrates by removing the cuttings from the pot and showing the well-established root system.
Repotting and Soil Mix
• The host repots the plants using a mixture of garden soil and organic compost, mixed with river sand.
• Ensure to handle the roots carefully during repotting and use a pot with multiple drainage holes.
Watering and Sunlight
• Keep watering once a day.
• After a few days of indirect light, the plant can be moved to direct sunlight for better growth.
